What made you get into martial arts?
I originally got into martial arts just to try something new, stay active, and have fun. What started as a way to stay fit quickly turned into a much deeper passion. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to train under Brandon Thatch, and that experience has truly shaped my path. Training with a coach like Brandon—someone with real-world experience, deep knowledge, and a strong presence in the martial arts community—has opened doors I never expected. Not only have I grown as a martial artist, but I’ve also been learning the fundamentals of coaching and how to share this knowledge with others. It’s been a journey of personal growth, discipline, and continuous learning, and I’m excited to keep building on that foundation

Tell us about you journey, background and accomplishments
I’ve been training in martial arts for over seven years, with the past three years dedicated to coaching both kids and adults in Muay Thai—primarily at 3D Martial Arts, as well as teaching kickboxing classes at other gyms. My journey has been driven by a passion for movement, discipline, and helping others grow in both skill and confidence. Outside of martial arts, I’m also a certified scuba professional and spent much of my younger years immersed in skateboarding, which helped develop my balance, coordination, and perseverance early on. These diverse experiences have shaped my approach as both a martial artist and a coach, and I’m committed to continuing to evolve and share what I’ve learned with others.
What is your goal as a coach?
My goal as a coach is to help students develop strong fundamentals and proper technique in a supportive and motivating environment. I believe that martial arts should be both challenging and enjoyable, so I strive to create a space where students can push themselves, grow in confidence, and enjoy the process. Whether someone is training for fitness, self-defense, competition, or personal growth, my aim is to guide them with patience, structure, and encouragement. Ultimately, I want every student to leave class not only better physically, but also mentally stronger and more self-assured.
