  • Do you offer trial classes?
Yes! We offer a free trial class for new students. It’s a great way to experience the training environment and meet our coaching team and community, while learning some of the fundamentals .
  • What should I expect my first class?
Once you sign up, our team will schedule your first Kickboxing class, where you'll be introduced to the basics of striking in a fun and structured environment. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early – We’ll set you up with loaner gloves and wraps, give you a quick orientation, and introduce you to your coach. Class begins with a warm-up – You’ll go through dynamic movements, stretching, and footwork drills to get your body ready. Learn the fundamentals – Practice punches, kicks, and proper stance on the heavy bag, with hands-on guidance from your coach.
  • What should I wear?
For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement, such as: T-shirt or tank top – Something breathable and fitted works best. Muay Thai Shorts are preferred. Athletic shorts or leggings – Avoid anything too baggy that could get in the way. Barefoot – We train on mats, so no shoes are needed. We’ll provide loaner gloves shin guards and hand wraps for your first class, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them! Make sure to bring a water bottle.
  • How often should I train?
We recommend 2–3 classes per week to start. As your fitness and skills improve, you can increase frequency based on your goals and schedule. Many new students find that a combination works best—such as two group classes and one private session per week, or one of each. This balanced approach lets you build foundational skills in class while using private sessions to reinforce technique and accelerate progress.
  • Do I need experience to join?
Not at all! Our beginner classes are perfect for those with no prior experience. Our coaches will guide you through the fundamentals at your own pace.
  • Does 3D Martial Arts offer kids classes?
Yes! 3D offers Kids Kickboxing & Muay Thai classes designed to help children build confidence, discipline, and coordination, all while learning real striking skills in a safe, supportive environment. Our program goes beyond martial arts—it teaches valuable life lessons both on and off the mats. Kids will develop better balance, footwork, and striking fundamentals, while also learning respect for the art, their coaches, and fellow students. Ages 4–6: Little Ninjas – A playful and interactive introduction to movement, balance, and basic striking techniques. Ages 7–13: Ninjas – Focused on building solid skills, control, and proper technique, with an emphasis on responsibility, respect, and smart decision-making.
  • Are classes safe, will I get hurt?
Safety is our top priority. All classes are led by experienced coaches who emphasize proper technique and controlled training. We also ensure all equipment is well-maintained and safety gear is used when appropriate. While beginner classes do not involve contact or sparring, a mouth guard will be required for future classes as part of our safety protocol. It helps build good habits early and ensures you're prepared when you advance to drills that may involve light contact.
  • Is sparring required?
No, beginners do not spar. Sparring is introduced gradually and only in advanced classes. Only once you’ve built the necessary skills and control.
  • Is it better to start with one-on-one training or group classes?
It depends on your goals and learning style—both options have their benefits. Group classes are a great place to start for most beginners. They’re structured, high-energy, and offer a motivating atmosphere where you can learn the basics alongside others. You’ll get plenty of individual attention from coaches, especially in beginner-level classes, while also experiencing the community and pace of group training. One-on-one training is ideal if you’re looking for personalized instruction, faster progress, or have specific goals—like improving a certain technique or preparing for competition. It’s also a great option if you’re nervous about jumping straight into a group setting or want to build confidence before joining a class. Many students find that a combination of both works best: start with group classes to get comfortable, and supplement with occasional private sessions to fine-tune your skills.
  • What style of martial arts do you offer?
We offer Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and specialized programs for both kids and adults. Each class is designed to help students improve their technique, fitness, and confidence in a structured environment.
  • What is the difference between MuayThai and Kickboxing?
Kickboxing is a dynamic, high-energy striking discipline that emphasizes the use of punches and kicks. Training typically includes heavy bag work to build technique, power, and cardiovascular fitness, making it an ideal entry point for beginners aiming to develop a solid striking foundation. Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing—often called the “Art of 8 Limbs”—expands on kickboxing by incorporating elbows, knees, clinch fighting, and sweeps. It emphasizes close-range control and off-balancing strategies, offering a more comprehensive striking system. Starting with kickboxing allows students to gradually build their skills, moving from solo heavy bag drills to partner exercises, pad work, and eventually live sparring, providing a structured path into the more advanced techniques of Muay Thai.
